Tips & Variations

Pro Tips

  • For a thinner, pourable dressing, add more buttermilk 1 tablespoon at a time.
  • Let the dressing chill for at least 30 minutes before serving—the flavor will deepen.
  • Use full-fat ingredients for the creamiest texture and best flavor.
  • Adjust Sriracha to taste for more or less heat.
  • Use fresh herbs instead of dried for a brighter flavor (triple the amount).

Storage

  • Refrigerator: Up to 1-2 weeks in airtight container
  • Freezer: Up to 3 months (thaw overnight in fridge)
  • Best Practice: Store in glass jars for longer freshness

Recipe Variations

  • Vegan: Substitute vegan mayo and sour cream, and use plant-based milk with a splash of lemon in place of buttermilk.
  • Smoky Chipotle: Replace Sriracha with chipotle sauce or adobo for a different smoky heat.
  • Herb-Heavy: Add 2 tbsp each chopped fresh dill, parsley, and chives for an extra fresh green ranch.
